Gary began his appraisal career in 1982 while employed by the State of Tennessee Division of Property Assessments performing mass appraisals for ad valorem property tax purposes. In March 1987 Gary became deputy Property Assessor for Blount County, Tennessee where he was responsible for maintaining the market value indexes for property assessment purposes. In February 1989 Gary became an independent fee appraiser performing appraisals for banks, credit unions, mortgage lenders, attorneys, accountants, etc. In 1992 Gary opened and currently operates his own appraisal firm in Kingsport, TN. Gary is a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser in the State of Tennessee and the Commonwealth of Virginia performing residential, vacant site, and small farm appraisals primarily for lending purposes. Gary is currently on the FHA roster and resides in Kingsport, TN with his wife Laurel and blue tick beagle Buddy. Gary has a passion for hanging with Laurel, music, drums. percussion, daytrips, Western North Carolina mountains, Eastern North Carolina Beaches and camping with his wife Laurel and dog Buddy.
